From Setback to Success: The Transformative Role of Digital Implant Workflows (3 CEs)
Friday, March 21, 2025 / 8:30am - 11:30am / Straumann NAM (60 Minuteman Road, Andover, MA 01810) / Free
Speaker: Dr. Adam Saltz
When implants fail, their wake can be devastating. Early management of hard and soft tissue deficiencies, periodontal breakdown, and prosthetic complications ensures lasting esthetic and functional implant outcomes, with fewer surprises. Clinicians must first help patients overcome the physical, emotional, and financial tolls of these failures, while maintaining their trust and navigating the related legal and ethical landscapes. The influence of digital workflows can enhance the precision and effectiveness of the surgical and restorative phases and increase confidence in simple and complex implant rehabilitations.
- Describe the emerging etiologies and risk factors for implant complications
- Understand the equipment, software, and production services needed to build a digital portfolio
- Incorporate digital workflows and artificial intelligence into the planning, surgical, and restorative phases of implant dentistry
- Examine the ethical and legal issues related to dental implant procedures, including informed consent, risk communication, and patient decision-making
Mandated Reporting
Maine law requires that certain professionals, including licensed health professionals, who suspect child abuse and neglect and who suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation of an incapacitated or dependent adult report to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Maine law also requires that certain professionals, including licensed health professionals, obtain mandated reporter training once every four years.
Please note that the modules provided by the State of Maine DHHS satisfy the requirements for licensure.
